Award-winning Northamptonshire art gallery to celebrate 15th anniversary with special exhibition
An award-winning Northamptonshire art gallery is preparing to celebrate its 15th anniversary with a special exhibition this November.
British Art Portfolio, based at Guilsborough Court, will host its anniversary exhibition from November 5 to 11, showcasing its collection of modern British and contemporary art.
The celebrations follow the gallery being named East Midlands Gallery of the Year 2026 in the publicly voted My Local Awards.
Founded in 2011 by Louise Newton and Amanda Lowther, the gallery specialises in original British art, including paintings, sculpture and ceramics.

Louise said: “We are delighted to receive such wide support from our followers. Winning East Midlands Art Gallery of the Year is a significant milestone for us. It proves that, although we are a small gallery, we can punch above our weight.”
Over the past 15 years, British Art Portfolio has raised more than £60,000 for charity and is supporting Young Leicestershire this year, having previously fundraised for Maggie’s Northampton.
Amanda added: “We are so proud of our gallery. We have enjoyed an amazing 15 years of selling wonderful British art, and we love supporting our brilliant artists.”
The anniversary exhibition will be open daily from 11am to 5pm, except Sunday, November 8, when it will close at 2pm.
A private viewing evening will also take place on Thursday, November 5, from 6pm to 8.30pm.
