From having fun at Wicksteed Park and Dinosaurs in the Park at Delapre Abbey, to learning new things at the Silverstone Interactive Museum, Northamptonshire has a lot to offer – and here are 15 things you can pencil in for the six-week break.
13. Northampton and Lamport Railway
Based roughly five miles north of Northampton, near the villages of Pitsford and Chapel Brampton, you can visit the historic Northampton & Lamport Railway. This is one for families who want to learn about the history and heritage of the county – while having a ride on a steam train. Photo: Northampton and Lamport Railway
14. Boost Trampoline Park
The ‘Boost jump’ sessions run all day every day and children have unlimited access to the entire park. They can be booked online in one and two hour slots.
There are over 50 interconnected trampolines, including the tumble lanes for more advanced jumpers – as well as basketball hoops, the battle beam, a foam fit, and fun slide, among more. Photo: Boost Trampoline Park
15. Icarus Falconry, Holdenby House
The Icarus Falconry, located at Holdenby House, provides bird of prey experiences, demonstrations and displays.
The centre is the home to many species of birds of prey, including some whose wild counterparts are critically endangered. The experiences available are ‘hawk and owl’, ‘falconry premier’, and ‘eagle and vulture’. Photo: Icarus Falconry
