Strictly star La Voix will be missing from this week’s trip to Blackpool Tower 😭💃
- Strictly Come Dancing will be down one star this week.
- La Voix is set to miss the iconic Blackpool Week.
- But what is the reason for the star’s absence?
It is the week that all Strictly Come Dancing stars hope to make it to - the yearly trip to Blackpool Tower. RuPaul Drag Race UK favourite La Voix had their sights set on it from the very start of the season.
However, despite making it all the way to week nine, the performer will not get the chance to take to the famous ballroom floor. The star has been forced to pull out of this week’s competition - but will return in week ten.
But what has caused La Voix to miss out on Blackpool week? Here’s all you need to know:
Tragic reason Strictly star will miss Blackpool Tower trip
La Voix had their sights set on making it to the iconic milestone right from the off - setting it out as a goal in the competition during the live launch back in September. Unfortunately, due to injury, they will not be taking to the ballroom floor this weekend.
A Strictly spokesperson explained: "Due to injury, La Voix has been advised by doctors to rest and, as a result, will not dance in this weekend's Blackpool specials.
“In line with the rules of Strictly Come Dancing, La Voix and Aljaž will receive a bye through to next week when it is hoped they will be able to dance again. We wish La Voix the very best for a speedy recovery."
La Voix added: “It is with immense sadness that I have to withdraw from this weekend’s Strictly Come Dancing shows in Blackpool. Due to an injury, I’ve been advised that I’m unable to perform, and my heart truly breaks knowing I won’t be dancing in such an iconic venue.
“Aljaž and I have worked incredibly hard, and we were so excited to share our routine with everyone. I am devastated not to be joining the rest of the cast on that famous dancefloor, but my focus now is on recovery. I’ll be cheering on all the amazing couples this weekend.”
Strictly Come Dancing will continue this weekend from Blackpool’s Tower Ballroom with six competing couples.
