thistle. to play in-store gig at Spun Out to mark backflip EP release
Indie-rock shoegaze trio thistle. are heading back to Northampton as part of a series of in-store gigs to celebrate the release of their new EP.
thistle. release six-track backflip this week and will be playing at Gold Street record shop Spun Out on Saturday, May 30, ahead of further signing sessions in Oxford, London and Leeds, in the coming days.

The band, originally from Northampton, are Cameron Godfrey, Carey Judwyn Rushton and Lewis O’Grady.
Last year, they teamed up with producer Macks Faulkron at REX Studio, an artistic hub tucked away behind Highbury & Islington tube station, to record their sophomore EP which follows last year’s It’s Nice To See You Stranger.
backflip is being released through rising indie label REX RECS and is available digitally as well as on limited edition 12” transparent cloudy white vinyl.
On Bandcamp, bundles are available with an exclusive backflip zine as well as an A4 hand-pulled black and white risograph print.
Following this weekend’s in-store, the trio will be playing gigs across the UK as well as at the Outbreak Festival in Manchester and also heading back to Northampton to headline the Circuit Break Festival.
Thistle will be playing at Spun Out at 4pm. Copies pre-ordered via Spun Out guarantees entry into the ‘lock-in’ signing after the performance.
