The Lab teams up with The NN Social for a night of online live music

Music venue The Lab is teaming up with weekly video podcast The NN Social for a night of online live music.
The Charles Street venue has been streaming performances online since the start of the year while venues are unable to open for shows because of coronavirus restrictions.

Hide AdThis weekend, The Lab will be joined by NN Social hosts Andrew Convey, Josh Astrop and Nikolas Gray with live music by Pieces and Afriene.
The performances and NN Social show will be broadcast online across multiple streaming platforms.
Hannah Felce, who co-manages The Lab with Gemma Murdoch, said: “With help from funding from The Arts Council and the extra talented folks at NN1 Audio, we have been making sure people can still perform and that we are giving opportunities to those in the tech side of the industry.
“The guys at NN1 Audio - who would usually be filling stadiums with light, sound and joy - have pulled together to support local musicians and keep bringing people music.

Hide Ad“With live performances from Afriene and Pieces, who both have new music out this month, it’s going to be glorious.”
They will be joined by venue sound engineer Ollie Edwin, lighting technician Reece Smith and lighting designer and venue vice chair Sam Mcnern.
The venue will be set up to adhere to all social distancing and operating restrictions as outlined by the Government.
In previous weeks, acts including Karl Phillips, Mollusca, Flow & Hustle and Ayo have performed as part of the venue’s live streams and more are planned.

Hide AdThe team at The Lab has also spent lockdown making a host of improvements to the interior décor of the venue.
The NN Social - Live from The Lab is on Saturday, February 27.
Music is from 8pm to 10pm and will be streamed on Facebook, Twitch, Instagram and YouTube.
