Northampton hosts summer pantomime with drama stars

A strong cast headed up by former Coronation Street star Steven Arnold and Grange Hill star Colin Ridgewell can be seen in a summer pantomime at The Deco Theatre in Northampton.

Cinderella is being staged from Saturday May 28 to Monday May 30 with seven performances over the three days.

“The interest has been fantastic, and we’re already considering making this a regular event – the traditional Christmas Panto, and a Whitsun Bank Holiday one too,” said Jill Roach, of Moulton Park based Stage Right Productions, who put on all the shows at The Deco.

Steven Arnold – who Coronation Street fans will remember as Ashley the butcher for 14 years until he left the series in 2010 – will be joined on stage by former Grange Hill actor Colin Ridgewell, and up and coming young actor Chris Wills, who had a successful run in Cinderella in Chesham last Christmas.
