Music festival to be held in grounds of Rockingham Castle

Fans of music from decades gone by can step back in time for a music festival in the grounds of a castle.

The Flashback Music Festival is coming to Rockingham Castle in July.

The line-up includes Billy Ocean, Soul II Soul, Kim Wilde, T’Pau and the Bay City Rollers.

More acts have yet to be announced, but other names set to appear include Living In A Box, Nick Heyward and Heaven 17.

The Rockingham Castle website states: “A fantastic weekend of music offering a line-up packed full of artists from across the decades, and all set in the picturesque grounds of Rockingham Castle.

“This is a must for music enthusiasts and the atmosphere caters for everyone.

“By using our many years of experience, we will ensure that Flashback is the “must go to” festival of 2016.”

The festival is taking place on Saturday, July 9, and Sunday, July 10.

There will be themed bars and food stalls catering for all tastes.

And once the live music has finished, there will be a silent disco for anyone who wants to keep dancing.

Day tickets are available as well as the camping option, with the campsite open from 4pm on Friday, July 8.
