The annual festival returned at the weekend to the Milton Keynes venue for three days of the best reggae, dancehall and Caribbean music.
Kartel was joined by a host of acts who performed across seven stages at the iconic venue, with previous nights headlined by Beenie Man & Morgan Heritage and Burna Boy
To open his set, Kartel arrived on stage perched high up on a metal scaffolding type structure, with a giant rotating LED crown behind him and the words King Of Dancehall beneath.
Busts of flames rose into the air while dancers either side of him waved Jamaican flags.
Kartel quickly descended steps down to ground level and out on the stage’s walkway where he led fans through a set full of some of his biggest hits.
The Main stage at Reggae Land on Sunday was opened by Styxlo & Solo Banton before French singer songwriter Mo’ Kalamity and her band took to the stage.
They were followed by ‘the bad boys of reggae’ Inner Circle and later dancehall singer songwriter Christopher Martin.
Shaggy drew one of the biggest crowds of the afternoon. Dressed in a matching camo-suit, the singer performed some of his biggest hits including Boombastic, Oh Carolina and It Wasn’t Me. Finally, Shenseea performed ahead of Reggae Land’s headliner.
Across on the One Love Stage, highlights of the day came from Mr Vegas who drew thousands across from the main stage as well as Alborosie and Third World.
Reggae Land will return next year on Saturday, July 31 and Sunday, August 1.
Tickets go on sale on Friday, August 7, at 9am. For more information visit https://reggaeland.co.uk
