Yorkshire band allusinlove are back in the region to headline Corby’s Steel Park this Saturday.

After a self-imposed hiatus, the alternative quartet returned last year with their debut album It’s Okay To Talk and new single Just Like Hell was released through 32BU Recordings last month.

allusinlove are singer and guitarist Jason Moules, guitarist Andrej Pavlovic, bassist Jemal Beau and drummer Connor Fisher-Atack.

The Castleford natives have been aboard their own seven-year rollercoaster which has taken them through a name change, highs, low and hard knocks, and from pub gigs to playing arenas.

All the while they’ve been evolving and honing away, finally emerging with a sound that unites their early post-grunge hard rock and more recent walls of psychedelic sound.

Moules said: “We’re difficult to pigeonhole, but I see that as a good thing, not a bad thing. If something sparks creativity, you should chase it, and that’s what we’ve done.”

It’s Okay To Talk was recorded with renowned producers Catherine Marks (the Killers/Wolf Alice/Foals) and Alan Moulder (Jesus and Mary Chain/U2) in the legendary Assault and Battery studio - birthplace of the likes of two Def Leppard albums and the Stone Roses’ classic debut.

Since its release, the LP has clocked up millions of streams online and support from the likes of Annie Mac and Daniel P Carter.

While a brush with the industry which left them feeling “misrepresented and misunderstood,” according to Moules, allusinlove are back where they are best – in control of their music and career.

Last summer they played festivals including the Download Festival and 2,000 Trees, toured with Skunk Anansie and played across Europe.

At Steel Park they will be joined by Blood Visions, Barracuda and Tragic. Tickets cost £5 via
