This will be Jones’ final band show before he continues as a solo artist next year due to complications around living with Crohn’s disease.

He said: “I recall Northampton having a great music scene, I would always look forward to having a date in the diary and it has a great blues following.

“One of the first tour dates on my debut tour was at The Wig & Pen back in 2012, I have done charity events in Northamptonshire to raise money and awareness for Crohn’s & Colitis UK, so only seems right to end the last band show where it all began.

“I just want to say a special thank you to all my amazing fans who have supported the band over the years.

“I’m going to be celebrating what’s been an incredible journey this last 18 years on the road, and I’m looking forward to pursuing my solo album and tour in the future. It’s been really hard to adapt and make the changes due to my health challenges with suffering with Crohn’s disease, but I will never let this invisible disease stop me from doing what I love.”

Jones has previously shared stages with the likes of Van Morrison, Ringo Star and Jeff Beck, performed at the Royal Albert Hall and New York’s Carnegie Hall and won the Young Artist Of The Year award three times at the British Blues Awards.

Jones headlines the Abington Square venue on Thursday, December 11. Doors open at 7.30pm.
