Award-winning West End show Everybody's Talking About Jamie heads to Northampton with Shane Richie

Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, the smash-hit and critically acclaimed feel-good West End musical, is coming to Northampton’s Royal & Derngate from Tuesday 10 to Saturday 14 March 2020, as part of its first ever UK tour.

Supported by his brilliant loving mum and surrounded by his friends, Jamie overcomes prejudice, beats the bullies and steps out of the darkness, into the spotlight.

The cast includes Layton Williams (Bad Education, Beautiful People, Billy Elliot the Musical) who previously starred as Jamie in the West End and EastEnders’ much-loved Shane Richie who played Hugo/Loco Channelle in the West End last year.

They are joined by Shobna Gulati (Coronation Street and Dinnerladies) as Ray and George Sampson (winner of Britain’s Got Talent) as Dean.

In 2011, director Jonathan Butterell saw the documentary film ‘Jamie: Drag Queen at 16’ the true story of Jamie Campbell and his mother, Margaret, which inspired him to create this musical that's gone on to be an award-winning West End hit and soon-to-be film with stars including Richard E. Grant and Sarah Lancashire.

Everybody’s Talking About Jamie takes to the Derngate stage from Tuesday 10 to Saturday 14 March 2020, with performances at 7.30pm and matinees at 2.30pm on Wednesday and Saturday.
