Stanwick Bowls Club gets a funding boost
Club which celebrated the centenary of its founding in 2023, has benefited from a major Sport England Grant
Stanwick Bowls Club is delighted to announce the receipt of a most generous award from the Sport England Movement Fund. The award will be used to replace the aging and ineffective ditch infill material around the perimeter of the bowling green with a brand new proprietary product.
The new ditch liner will be in place ready for the recommencement of outdoor bowling in April 2025.This will enhance the appearance of the high quality bowling green, make future maintenance very much easier, give a more enjoyable bowling experience for members and visitors in addition to protecting any wayward bowls which are knocked off the green during competitions.
Without the kind generosity of Sport England, due to financial constraints SBC could not have anticipated being in a position to make this improvement at the Club in the foreseeable future.Stanwick Bowls Club goes from strength to strength and we welcome enquiries from anyone interested in lawn bowls (April to September) or indoor short mat bowls (September - April).
