Reed praises Saints Under-18s after 'outstanding' showing against Bath
Saints Under-18s head coach Charlie Reed praised his side's 'outstanding' performance in their 33-24 defeat against Bath last Saturday.
The black, green and gold youngsters lost for the first time at home in the 2025/26 PREM Next Gen season as they were just edged out.
But Saints showed plenty of fight throughout, with Sonny Goode, Elijah Jeyes, Lucas Veevers and Seb Dare on the scoresheet.
Bath, who have already secured their spot in this year’s final, eventually prevailed at Shelford RFC.
But Reed said: “The performance is something we always chase, and, to a man, I thought we were outstanding.
“Bath are a very physical side, but I thought the way we competed and kept our discipline, it was great to watch us play the way we’ve trained throughout the whole year, and that's something we can be very proud of.”
