'Limited number' of Covid-19 cases at Saints ahead of Tigers clash

Saints have had a 'limited number' of positive Covid-19 tests ahead of Saturday's Gallagher Premiership game against Leicester Tigers.

But the match at Franklin's Gardens is still on as it stands.

Saints are currently working through the relevant protocols, which includes contact tracing.

Last week, boss Chris Boyd revealed the club had registered one positive test, which would have ruled up to three players out of the game against London Irish due to contact tracing.

But Boyd made it clear that the game against Irish was not in jeopardy from a Saints perspective.

However, the match was cancelled after Irish registered a significant number of positive tests and Saints were subsequently awarded four points by Premiership Rugby.
