Cobblers Under-18s handed Arsenal incentive ahead of FA Youth Cup clash


Jon Brady’s youngsters know that if they can get past the Robins then they will be heading off to the capital to take on Arsenal U18s.
The draw for round three was made on Friday, and the prospect of a trip to the home of the Premier League giants adds extra significance to Wednesday’s tie for both clubs.

Hide AdThe Cobblers eased into the second round with a 4-0 win over King’s Lynn in front of a 500-plus crowd, and spectators are once again invited to get down to the PTS to cheer the youngsters on.
Town, who are set to be skippered by first teamer Jay Williams against the Robins, have yet to lose a game this season, and sit top of the EFL Youth Alliance League table.
Admission to Wednesday’s match is £3 for adults and senior citizens, and £1 for U18s.
Meanwhile, Cogenhoe United Under-18s have also been handed the chance to set up a third round date with Premier League opposition – if they can get past Coventry City in their second round match next Thursday.

Hide AdThe Cooks, who beat Grantham in the first round, have been handed another home tie if they see off the Sky Blues, with Crystal Palace the team lying in wait.
Again, supporters are urged to go along to Compton Park on Thursday to cheer on the Cooks youngsters, with kick-off for that one 7.45pm.
