Scrimshaw says there is a lot more to come from the Steelbacks
George Scrimshaw believes there is plenty more to come from the Northants Steelbacks as they head to Worcestershire in the Vitality Blast on Sunday (ko 2.30pm).
After losing out in the semi-finals on Finals Day in September, Northants got their 2026 campaign off to a winning start on Friday night when they squeezed out a three-run win over Glamorgan at the cinch County Ground.

It was a battling team performance from the Steelbacks that proved to be enough to see off the Welsh county, with Scrimshaw seeing his side over the line with an excellent final over that denied Glamorgan the 10 runs they needed to win.
And the former England seamer is now keen to follow that up with a second win at New Road on Sunday, and he believes he and his team-mates have a lot more in the tank.
"We want to win as many home games as we can, but to win a few on the road as well would be brilliant," said Scrimshaw.
"We will take it game by game, and we know that every team has their strong players, but I think we have a lot more in our dressing room.
"We have probably performed at 70 per cent on Friday night, so to bowl the way we did and to bring it back was brilliant."
Looking back on the win over Glamorgan, Scrimshaw added: "I have said it is a momentum thing, and we had a real belief that we would turn the game round with the wickets we were taking.
"It was just about carrying that belief into the final overs, and the fact is we were taking wickets.
"It wasn't like they had a lot of wickets in the shed, and that gave us the belief we could do it.
"Credit to Jumble (James Sales), he has not played T20 last year or the year before, so for him to come in and do such a good job for us was brilliant."
