Kyren Wilson on song as he cruises into last 16 of German Masters in Berlin
Kyren Wilson's return to top form has continued at the Machineseeker German Masters in Berlin this week, easing into the last 16 as he aims to defend a title he won in 2025.
The Kettering potter, who trains out of Barratts Club in Northampton, grabbed the headlines a fortnight ago when he won the Johnstone's Paint Masters at Alexandra Palace in London.

It was a welcome success for Wilson, who had gone into the tournament on a low after a series of disappointing results, and the fact he had struggled for form after breaking his cue.
But armed with a satisfactory new cue, Wilson returned to his best to win a first Masters title, beating John Higgins in the final, and he has maintained his form in Berlin.
Wilson saw off fellow Englishman Robert Milkins 5-1 in the first round at the Tempodrom, and then on Tuesday night he won by the same scoreline, seeing off Scotland's Anthony McGill.
Wilson actually lost the first frame, but then reeled off four 50-plus breaks and a century to ease to victory. He had also hit breaks of 119, 75, 65, and 63 in the win over Milkins.
That win has set up a last-16 clash on Thurday against either Barry Hawkins or Zhang Anda in what is an important competition for Wilson as he strives to qualify for the Players Championship in Telford in February.
Wilson won the Players last year but isn't guaranteed a place in this year's competition yet as it features only the top 16 players from the one-year ranking list, with Wilson currently down in 19th place.
His two tournament wins this season - the Masters and Shanghai Masters - don't carry ranking points, as they are invitational events, so Wilson has to perform well in the German Masters and next week's World Grand Prix in Hong Kong.
“The Players Championship is a title that I managed to capture last season, so it’d be a real shame to not even have the chance to try to defend it,” Wilson told the World Snooker Tour
“So I have got a little bit of work to do this week as I need those ranking points!"
