CRICKET SPECIAL: Last ball drama as Sudhakar and Beardshaw are in the runs in high-scoring tie

On what was a belting wicket, home side Olney batted first and rattled up a huge 314 for five in their 45 overs, with opener Beardshaw hitting 21 fours and two sixes in his 130 that came from just 100 balls.

He was well supported by Rory Easton (51), Mark Hallum (44) and Luke Richardson (41), while Srikrishnav Sainath was the pick of the bowlers with two for 41 from 10 overs.

In reply, Horton went for it and Sudhakar dominating proceedings as he hit 16 fours and two sixes in a superb 151 not out.

The second of those two sixes came off the final ball of the match as he cleared the ropes to bring up his 150 and secure the tie!

Support came from Abhinav Kulur, whio made 65 and Sainath Ravikumar (44no).

In the premier division, the title race is looking more and more like becoming a two-horse race as Finedon Dolben and rivals Stony Stratford both won again, while fast-fading Peterborough Town suffered a second loss on the spin.

Leaders and reigning champions Finedon were seven-wicket winners over Old Northamptonians at Billing Road.

Shivasurya Arun Krishna top-scored with 55 as ONs were bowled out for 194, with Daniel Bendon taking four for 37.

Finedon then eased to victory at 198 for three thanks to half-centuries from Shaynan Patel (53) and Sean Davis (50).

Stony were also seven-wicket winners, cruising past Overstone Park, who were dismissed for just 104 despite 48 from Benjamin Sales.

Peterborough are now fourth and 48 points adrift of the top two after they went down by five wickets in their derby date at Oundle Town.

Peterborough opted to bat first, but only Josh Smith (49) got going as they were restricted to a modest 175 for nine.

That was never enough as Oundle replied with 179 for five, with Patrick Harrington making 53 and their Josh Smith hitting 50.

Geddington are up to third after they coasted to a seven-wicket success against struggling Loddington & Mawsley.

Gagan Singh snared five for 24 as Loddington were bowled out for 160, before Jack Lees hit 78 and Jack Bates 46 to see Geddington to 161 for three.

The villagers are 40 points behind the top two.

Finally, Kislingbury Temperance were forced to bat out for a draw in their clash with Rushden & Higham Town.

Rushden made the most of batting first as they posted 274 for seven thanks to Chana Ruwansiri (60), Liam Gough (58) and Connor Lawford (40).

Harry Penberthy top-scored for Kisl in reply, making 45, while Zaakir Khawaja hit 41 to ensure they claimed a share of the spoils at 203 for seven.
