Lawes: Saints will respond against Racing


Saints were thrashed 33-3 by the Top 14 team in the Champions Cup clash at Stade Yves-du-Manoir last Saturday.
Racing ran in five tries as they asserted their authority in Pool 3.

Hide AdAnd Lawes said: “It was a tough loss, a big score for them and very disappointing for us, which didn’t represent the whole game.
“Luckily we’ve got a chance to rectify that on Friday and it’s up to us to put a performance in that the fans want to see.
“It was a bit embarrassing for us out there, but there will be a response this week.”
Dan Carter impressed on his Racing debut last weekend.
And when asked whether he will set his sights on the Kiwi star at the Gardens this week, Lawes said: “He’s a good player, one of the best in the world, but I don’t go looking for it.
“If you see a shot you take it, but if you don’t, you just get on with your other jobs.”
