The Cooks went into the game as underdogs as Bury play at a higher level, and their task was made even more difficult when Taylor Orosz was sent-off after 41 minutes with the match still goalless.

Bury, who included former Sunderland and Ipswich Town winger Carlos Edwards in their ranks, scored the only goal of the game on the hour through Cemal Ramadan.
