Time and date confirmed for EFL Trophy tie with MK Dons

Martin's side to visit the PTS in the New Year

Cobblers drew 0-0 with MK Dons in League One last month.

Cobblers' Papa John's Trophy last-16 tie with Milton Keynes Dons has been confirmed for Tuesday, January 12, at 7.45pm.

Ticket details are yet to be announced but 2,000 fans will be allowed to attend the PTS Academy Stadium unless there is a change to the current coronavirus restrictions.

Cobblers and MK Dons have already met once in the competition this season. Joseph Mills opened the scoring for Town back in September but Regan Poole, Sam Nombe and Matthew Sorinola earned Russell Martin's side a 3-1 victory at Stadium MK.

Dons would go on to top the group while Cobblers finished second, however both made it through the first knockout round. MK thrashed Norwich U21s 6-0 and Town won 2-1 at Exeter City.

The winners of next month's tie will be just three games from Wembley.
