Cobblers are planning to announce more details on season tickets - both for this season and next - once the decision to end the regular campaign is ratified by the EFL.

The remaining nine fixtures are set to be officially cancelled at next Monday's EFL meeting, although Northampton have already been inundated with messages from fans saying they do not want a refund on their season tickets.

There's also the small matter of whether or not supporters will be allowed back into grounds by the start of next season.

"We've got a plan in place but we think it's best to wait until everything is formally ratified," said Thomas.

"There's already been a lot of discussions about refunds but it's not something we're going to focus on at this point. Our fans have been fantastic, as we've mentioned a few times, but we've spoken to a lot of supporters during the past few weeks and we've talked about our plans.

"It's pretty simple but once it gets ratified, we'll release more details and there'll also be a note coming out about season tickets for next year.

"But we can't really launch next year's season tickets until we have a much better idea when that season is going to be."

Although it's been suggested that fans may not be able to return to grounds until 2021, Thomas feels it could be much sooner.

He added: "I do personally believe that we'll be closer to having fans in the ground by the time we get to next season than we are right now.

"I think there have been some encouraging noises around that but we won't release details on season tickets until we know more about what next season looks like."
