Town finished third in League Two but took two very different paths to automatic promotion from the first half of the season compared to the second half. Here are some of the best and most interesting stats from the season…

5. 2 - Tough to beat

6. 22 - Individual brilliance
Sam Hoskins became the first Cobblers player in over 30 years to score 20 league goals in a season. He finished with 22 and was named League Two Player of the Season. Photo: Andrew Fosker/Shutterstock

7. 51 - Evolution
Brady spoke about wanting to evolve Town's style of play at the start of the season and the numbers reflect that. Cobblers averaged more possession (51%) this season than last (47%) and they also attempted more short passes, had a higher pass completion rate and scored 8 more goals from open play Photo: Pete Norton

8. A season of two halves
In the first half of the season, Cobblers scored 38 goals (the most in L2) and conceded 24. In the second half, Cobblers scored only 24 (15th most) but conceded just 18 (2nd best) Photo: Pete Norton
