Terry Taylor to be a free agent after Charlton Athletic release
Terry Taylor will be a free agent this summer after he was one of two players released by Charlton Athletic.
The central midfielder played 68 times across two loan spells for Northampton before returning to the Valley at the end of the 2025/26 season. Taylor, who came through Wolves’ academy, joined Charlton from Burton in 2023 but struggled for game-time and only managed a total of 24 appearances for the Championship club.

Addicks boss Nathan Jones said: “We wish Terry all the best. Ever since I've come in he's had an exemplary attitude and he's worked hard. Whenever he's been called upon he's done well for Charlton.
“His game-time was limited here and he's had a few loans and we wish him all the best. He's someone that I really enjoyed working with, he worked hard every day and he has a fantastic attitude. He's one of us and I'm so glad I've worked with Tel. We wish him all the best for the future."
Luke Berry has also been released by Charlton, while club have triggered the option to extend Tyreece Campbell’s contract until the summer of 2027, and they remain in discussions with Lyndon Dykes and Matty Godden, whose deals are set to expire this summer.
