Jon Brady and his players have offered plenty of early encouragement after picking up four points from their first four games. It’s early days of course but here are some of the things we’ve learned so far...
9. Cobblers will be tactically flexible
This is not so much something we've learned but more a continuation of a theme during Brady's time in charge. He's always stressed the importance of building a squad that is tactically flexible and can change formations both between and during games. He's started with three and four at the back in different matches this season and against Posh on Saturday went from 4-3-3 to 3-5-2 in the second half, something that helped Cobblers wrestle control of the game. 10. Cobblers can thrive not just survive in League One
It's too early to be getting carried away but the first four matches should offer plenty of encouragement that Cobblers can be vey competitive at this level. Ultimately we do not know how the rest of the season will unfold. All we do know is that there will be ups and downs and highs and lows. But should Town continue as they've started, it should be an enjoyable ride. Photo: Pete Norton
