Sampson 'hasn't even thought' about taking the Cobblers job permanently

The 56-year-old took the reins from Jon Brady last week and made the best possible start when he guided Town to victory over rivals Peterborough United in Monday’s Nene derby at Sixfields.
Cameron McGeehan scored twice as Cobblers jumped out of the relegation zone and up to 17th in League One, and Sampson now appears likely to be given a run of games as the club consider their options.

"I've just been so focused on the last three days and dealing with the rubbish weather and trying to get some sort of pattern into the players. It's not come into my mind. We'll just see what happens.”
Providing a player’s perspective, McGeehan said: "It was a blow to lose Jon and I was sad to see him go because he did a really good job and he obviously brought me to the club and I’ll always be grateful for that.
"But Sammo's come in, he's stayed calm and he's kept us together. It's obviously only been a few days but it was important to win the first game and now we need to kick-on.
