Richards ruled out for remainder of season after undergoing Achilles operation
Richards had only played two games of his comeback from the oringinal injury, having been sidelined since February 16.
It was initially thought the 18-goal top scorer wouldn’t need an operation, and he returned to the starting line-up for the 2-2 draw at Mansfield Town on Easter Monday.

That decision mean Richards will miss the remaining six games of the Sky Bet League Two season, starting with Saturday’s big clash with Bristol Rovers, but he should be fully fit to start pre-season training at the end of June, beginning of July.
