Opposition view: Bowyer 'delighted' after Burton win 'strange game' at Sixfields
Burton manager Gary Bowyer declared himself ‘absolutely delighted’ with his side’s win over Cobblers in a ‘strange game’ at Sixfields on Saturday.
Jake Beesley and Kyran Lofthouse were on target as Burton became the latest side to leave Sixfields with all three points.

"I’m absolutely delighted,” said Bowyer. "We spoke in the build up about the emotion of Kevin Nolan leaving and the bounce you can get from a new manager coming in. I knew Colin would have had them ultra organised, which they were, but I thought it was a bit of a strange game to be honest.
"We had the wind in the first half and then the wind just kind of went. I didn't think we utilised it as well as we could have done before half-time, but we managed to get our noses in front and I'm delighted for Jake. He’s worked extra hard this week and he got his reward, and the only disappointing thing was that we didn't get the second goal earlier.
"They brought the big man on in the second half and you expect them to go more direct but I thought we were terrific at the back. The wind disappeared, which helped us, but we were organised and disciplined and we had some wonderful opportunities to score a second.
"Any team that is being coached by Colin Calderwood, you know they are right in the game, especially at 1-0, but to go away from home and score two goals and keep a clean sheet is really good.”
