Town were due to play an Oxford reserve side on Tuesday but the game will now not take place as their opponents are having a day at Cheltenham races instead.

Oxford, who are currently 18th in Sky Bet League Two, were going to provide the opposition for a Northampton side containing players such as Billy Bodin, Chris Hackett and John-Joe O’Toole.

O’Toole and Hackett missed Saturday’s game at Plymouth due to illness but have recovered and trained with the full squad yesterday.
