Cobblers’ trip to York rearranged for February

The Cobblers will travel to York City for their rearranged Sky Bet League Two fixture on Tuesday, February 23 (ko 7.45pm).

The original match, scheduled for Boxing Day, was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at Bootham Crescent.

The rearrangement means the Cobblers will be covering a lot of miles in a hectic 11-day spell that will see them play four games.

The York trip on the Tuesday is followed by an away match at Hartlepool United four days later (Feb 27), and then a week on they go to Carlisle United (March 5).

In between the Hartlepool and Carlisle dates, Town also host AFC Wimbledon (March 1).

The rearrangemetn also means they will play York twice in the space of a little more than two weeks as the Minstermen are at Sixfields on February 6.

A club statement on the rearrangement stated: “Tickets purchased for the original game will be valid for the rearrangement.

“If supporters had pre-purchased tickets and planned to collect at York, the tickets can be collected from Sixfields ahead of matchday or they will be taken to York for collection there.

“If supporters cannot make the re-arranged game and would like to claim a refund, they should please visit the club shop/ticket office at Sixfields, the deadline for refunds is noon on Monday February 22nd, the day before the game.
