Town hit the post in the second minute and then again in stoppage-time but there was precious little else to get excited about as both sides struggled for attacking fluency. Here are our ratings from Sixfields….
13. Patrick Brough
Great to see him back nearly six months after his last appearance... 6 Photo: Pete Norton
14. Liam McCarron
Once again he made a positive difference from the bench and his powerful run led to Hoskins' stoppage-time chance... 6.5 Photo: Pete Norton
15. Akin Odimayo
Sent on with the licence to attack from right-back and he charged forward a few times, not least when so nearly setting up a late winner... 6.5 Photo: Pete Norton
16. James Wilson
Given limited minutes but his tendency to drop into the hole and pop off passes gave Cobblers a different option... 6 Photo: Pete Norton
