Liam Shaw scored his first Cobblers goal but he then found the net at the wrong end of the pitch, while George Thomason and Aaron Collins were also on target as Bolton edged a tight game. Here are our player ratings…
9. Will Hondermarck
Recalled to the team after missing out at Wycombe and quickly made an impact, breaking Bolton's back line with a good run in the build up to the leveller. He had quite an attacking role but there was a lack of quality when chasing a second equaliser... 6 Photo: Pete Norton
10. Cameron McGeehan
Very advanced at times, almost alongside Hoskins, and that meant he was on the periphery for large parts. Withdrawn on the hour... 6 Photo: Pete Norton
11. Sam Hoskins
A lone figure up top for most of the night. Had the fewest touches of any Cobblers player to play 90 minutes. Came more into it late on and did have three well-struck shots all blocked in the closing stages... 6 Photo: Pete Norton
12. James Wilson
One or two nice touches but nothing to really worry Bolton's back line... 6 Photo: Pete Norton
