Cardiff should have given him more to do but they failed to hit the target with two of their three clear-cut chances and the other was weak and easily saved by Town's underworked goalkeeper... 7.5 Photo: Pete Norton

. Luka Racic
A hesitant start made way for a very steady and solid opening performance from the Brentford man. Will only get better the more he plays in this system and understands what Curle wants from him... 7.5 Photo: Pete Norton

. Cian Bolger
Absolutely immense. Took command at the heart of the defence a la Charlie Goode, hooking away crosses, winning headers and defending on the front foot. Always in the right place to clear the danger... 8.5

. Fraser Horsfall

. Michael Harriman
A workaholic down Town's right flank, charging up the pitch to help out in attack before charging back to carry out his defensive duties. Pressed the visitors like a madman at times... 8
