5. Joe Wormleighton
Opportunities to raid forward down the right were limited and as such he was kept in check from an attacking perspective. Played 90 on Wednesday so was never going to last the distance and perhaps not a coincidence that Town conceded on his side shortly after he went off... 6 Photo: Pete Norton

6. Jack Perkins
Dealt with Wycombe's threat down their right side and his bursts forward led to some of Town's better moments, including Eaves' offside goal... 7 Photo: Pete Norton

7. Dean Campbell
The two midfielders did their job in the main in terms of providing Cobblers with a platform to control the game, however they were let down by lapses at the back, coupled with a lack of creativity in the final third. Terrific interchange with Edwards to create a good chance in the first half and then delivered an excellent cross that was eventually turned in by Guthrie. Also broke forward and squared for Eaves' offside goal... 7 Photo: Pete Norton

8. Terry Taylor
Comfortably the best player in claret in the first half when his dogged work in midfield kept Wycombe mostly at bay and got Cobblers moving up the pitch. Lovely ball in for Hoskins to head against the bar early in the second half. His presence somewhat diminished after Onyedinma's second and as a result his team struggled to build any momentum... 7.5 CHRON STAR MAN Photo: Pete Norton
