Jon Russell's goal after just 90 seconds was good enough to earn Stanley a deserved victory at the PTS. Here are our player ratings...
5. Michael Harriman
Did a good job defensively but Cobblers had very little threat down their right side and it was a surprise that Curle took so long to change things, with Hoskins eventually moving to wing-back... 5.5
6. Ryan Watson
It looked like he was the one who responsible for tracking Russell when the Stanley man broke through for the opener. Short on quality in possession and struggled to gain a foothold in midfield... 4.5
7. Jack Sowerby
His passing was some way off his usual standards, although he wasn't helped by the lack of movement ahead of and around him. Probably his poorest game in a Town shirt... 4.5
8. Sam Hoskins
Had four of Town's seven shots, two of which were free-kicks. One hit the post and another flew wide. Most of those came before half-time though and he faded away in the second 45 minutes... 5.5 Photo: Pete Norton
