Cobblers midfielder linked with move away from Sixfields
Dean Campbell has been linked with a move away from Sixfields.
The 25-year-old Scot, who joined Cobblers from Barrow last summer, made 48 appearances in all competitions in his first season at Sixfields and still has one year left on his current deal.

Campbell featured in every pre-season game this summer and looks set to be an important player for Chris Hogg this season. However, former Sky Sports reporter Peter O’Rourke believes the midfielder is wanted by clubs in the division above, posting the following on social media: “Notts County are among a number of League One clubs eyeing a move for Northampton Town midfielder Dean Campbell.”
Hogg recently confirmed that he is open to letting certain, unnamed players leave Cobblers before the end of the transfer window - but only if the right offers come in.
“The players obviously need interest and they need things to fall in line and it also needs to suit us as well as them in terms of what can happen,” said Hogg. “There's still lots going on behind the scenes with that and it will be interesting to see how that transpires over the next few weeks.”
