Nolan has his 'eye' on signings that would improve Cobblers in January
Kevin Nolan says he has his eye on ‘one or two’ players ahead of the January transfer window.
The window will open at the start of next month and clubs then have four weeks to improve their squads for the second half of the campaign. Although Cobblers still have six games to play between now and then, their recruitment work is well underway in the background.

Nolan and his staff recruited impressively last January as Ben Perry, Liam Shaw, Terry Taylor and Dara Costelloe all came in and made a positive impact, and the Town boss will be hoping for more success next month.
That said, the team are going well at the moment and currently occupy 14th place in League One, seven points above the bottom four and five points away from the play-offs, though Nolan has little interest in the table.
"There's no point asking me about the table at this stage,” he said after Saturday’s 3-0 win at Plymouth. “If we're seven points above the bottom four, that's great, but we'll just keep trying to put more points on the board between now and Christmas.
"Once we get to Christmas, we'll see where we at, reassess and have a look at the squad. We're looking at the squad now – can we improve it? How can we improve it? Where do we need to improve? What do we need to do to get better?
"We try to improve window by window but if we don't feel we need to improve, we won't, but there's normally some business done and one or two come in and we do have our eye on some targets. We're all working together and working hard and we're trying to make sure we're ready for every scenario.”
