Jade Bell scores SEVEN as Cobblers Women run riot against Lincoln City
Jade Bell scored all seven goals as Cobblers Women romped to a 7-0 victory over Lincoln City on Sunday.
Bell was the star performer, netting five in the first half alone before adding another couple to her tally after the break, as Northampton kept themselves third in FA Women’s National League Division One Midlands, four points off top spot with a game in hand.

Manager Josh Oldfield said: "I don’t think we were outstanding but we were more than good enough to warrant the result and I’m really pleased with the clean sheet. We could have scored a few more but it’s a good result and a decent performance.
"Jade scored different types of goals and I really liked the scrappy ones she scored. She’s diligent, she does her job very well and she's always a threat in front of goal. She was excellent today, the best player on the pitch, and she deserved her seven goals.”
There was a sign of things to come on four minutes when Bell hit the post, and she duly gave Cobblers the lead with 15 minutes played, racing onto a through pass and slotting home.
Bell soon went through again and made it two before completing her hat-trick when she was on hand to tuck away the loose ball after Fay Noble’s shot had hit the woodwork.
There were two more goals before half-time and both times Bell was once again in the right place at the right time to score on the rebound.
It was six just six minutes into the second half, Town’s striker slotting under the goalkeeper for a double hat-trick, and she wasn’t done there, adding a seventh with a crisp finish into the bottom corner.
