5. Ryan Haynes
Poor clearance led to the first and the floodgates then opened. Unable to handle the electric Edwards who wreaked chaos in the first-half, going on both the outside and the inside to create multiple chances for team-mates... 3 Photo: Pete Norton
6. Shaun McWilliams
Captain for the evening but he will be keen to forget this one and move on to more important matters at the weekend. The Ipswich midfield had too much nous and quality for their League Two counterparts, providing the platform for the home side to completely dominate... 4 Photo: Pete Norton
7. Ben Fox
A sprinkling of nice moments in possession, and Cobblers actually played some decent stuff at times, but it never led to any meaningful chances. If you want to scrap the barrel for positives, he at least got more minutes in the tank... 4 Photo: Pete Norton
8. Mitch Pinnock
Crashed a free-kick into the wall but it was slim-pickings for Town's forward men... 4 Photo: Pete Norton
