Cobblers let go a number of players in the summer, either through choice or otherwise. Here's how some of those players are faring at their new clubs...
5. Matty Warburton - FC Halifax Town
Teamed up with fellow ex-Cobbler Billy Waters at Halifax and both netted late goals in a remarkable 3-2 win over Notts County recently. Also scored against former club Stockport. Halifax are currently flying high in third in the National League. Waters himself has already bagged eight goals this season.
6. Alan Sheehan - Oldham Athletic
The experienced defender is player-coach under Keith Curle at Oldham and has played five games this season, but is currently injured.
7. Steve Arnold - Southend United
Has established himself as the number one choice at crisis-club Southend United, making nine appearances this season. Shipped four goals to Chesterfield on Saturday. The Shrimpers are currently just outside the relegation zone in the National League.
8. Mark Marshall - Crawley Town
Recently signed a short-term deal with Crawley Town after training with the club. Has played four times in all competitions.
