Hogg wants two more signings before the window shuts - transfer latest
Cobblers are in talks to sign ‘a couple of players’ before the transfer window shuts at 11pm on Tuesday evening, according to manager Chris Hogg.
Northampton, who drew 1-1 with Gillingham on Saturday, have 72 hours to add to the 10 signings that they’ve already made this summer.

Speaking after the draw at Priestfield, Hogg said: “It’s been a really busy window but we’ve still got things to do. My phone will be red hot now when I check it to see what movements have happened and I’ll have a chat with the staff and Colin (Calderwood) to get up to date.
“I’m hoping for some bits to come in before the deadline on Tuesday and I really hope we will have something before the Crawley game. It doesn’t help that there are EFL games on the same day the window shuts, you’d hope there would have been some common sense, but we will be working over the weekend.
“We’ve had some good conversations with a couple of players and hopefully they will progress the way we want them to progress.”
