Hogg praises Jeacock's response and gives Liam Shaw update
Cobblers have no fresh injury concerns for Saturday’s trip to Gillingham.
Defender Jack Burroughs and midfielder Liam Shaw, neither of whom have featured at all since the start of pre-season, remain the only absentees. Conor McCarthy also missed most of pre-season but played 45 minutes against Brighton Under-21s in the EFL Trophy.

It had been hoped that Shaw would be fit by now after he missed the whole of last season with a knee injury, however he underwent another ‘little procedure’ in pre-season and remains out for the foreseeable future.
"We’ll be the same from the weekend,” confirmed Chris Hogg. "Shawsy is still working though some of his early rehab stuff and he’s been in the building and doing some work with the physios and trying to get himself moving and back going again. Hopefully he can stay on the right track and it won’t be too long.”
Hogg also praised goalkeeper Zach Jeacock for the way he has reacted in training this week following the incident against Crewe on Saturday.
“Zach’s been as good as gold,” Hogg added. “I spoke to him on Sunday morning and he was absolutely fine. He’s reacted really well and really maturely and he’s been great in training this week and he’s looking forward to the weekend.”
