Hogg makes his first signing as Cobblers clinch deal for striker Saunders
Cobblers have made striker Harvey Saunders their first signing of the summer.
Known for his ball-carrying ability, hard-work and energetic style, the 28-year-old forward, who scored 11 goals and contributed seven assists in the National League last season, becomes Chris Hogg’s first signing as Northampton Town boss after penning a two-year contract with effect from July 1st.

Having initially started out in Sunday League in his teens, Saunders began his senior career at Fleetwood Town after joining from Darlington in 2019, where he progressed through the youth ranks. Two years later, he signed for Bristol Rovers and played a role in their promotion-winning campaign from League Two, netting five times in the 2022/23 season.
He later moved to Tranmere Rovers and became a regular first-team player, making more than 100 appearances across all competitions, before time on loan at Eastleigh in 2025/26, where he scored 11 goals. He was released by Tranmere at the end of last season.
