Signed from Scunthorpe United on a three-year contract last summer, having initially played out a six-month loan stint at the PTS Academy Stadium, Goode enjoyed a superb season at the heart of the Town defence.
Manager Keith Curle handed the 24-year-old the captain's armband and made the player his general on the pitch, and Goode relished the responsibility
Goode played in 45 of the Cobblers' 50 matches in all competitions, and missed just one of Town's 40 games in Sky Bet League Two and the play-offs.

As well as his defensive efforts, where he formed an impressive and solid central defensive unit alongside Turnbull and Wharton, Goode also chipped in with four goals.
His consistency levels throughout the campaign were very high, and he of course wrapped it all up by becoming only the second player in the club's history to lift a trophy at Wembley following that remarkable 4-0 play-off final win over Exeter City last month.
