5. Alan McCormack
A first start since Boxing Day and he just brings a whole new dynamic to Town's midfield. He's the anchor and the calming presence that allows the rest freedom to play. Good to get a solid hour out of him... 8 Photo: Pete Norton

7. Sam Hoskins
Not been at his best recently but this was an emphatic return to form. Thrived in the central role and combined effectively with Morton, setting up the striker's second. Caused problems all day long & never stopped running... 8.5
8. Nicky Adams
His low cross caused panic in the Grimsby box before Goode smashed home. Set-pieces were often dangerous, even if they didn't ultimately lead to goals, and he put in another tireless shift at wing-back... 7.5
