Vadaine Oliver and Olly Lee put the Gills in control, but Ryan Edmondson and Fraser Horsfall rescued a precious point for Town. Here are our player ratings...
1. Jonathan Mitchell
A busy afternoon between the posts. Would be harsh to blame him for either goal, but made a wonderful low save from Samuel not long after Oliver's opener and then preserved a point by brilliantly tipping over MacDonald's long-range strike late on... 7.5
2. Peter Kioso
Can't knock his commitment to the cause after somehow batting through his groin problem to play the full 90 minutes at Priestfield. Pinned back and on the defensive for the first 20, but motored up and down the right flank thereafter... 7
3. Fraser Horsfall
Poor back pass played in Oliver but Mitchell got him off the hook and that moment aside, he defended stoutly. Almost a two-man defence with Jones at times in the second-half as Town left themselves exposed, but snuffed out so many attacks. Great run and header to score the all-important equaliser... 7.5 CHRON STAR MAN
4. Lloyd Jones
Atoned for his early error with a heroic block, even if it might have hit his arm, and whilst he didn't win every battle, by and large he stood up admirably to Gills' relentless direct approach. Had a good tussle with Oliver and took a few whacks for his troubles... 7
