Former Cobblers boss Keith Curle has made a quick return to management after he was appointed head coach at League Two side Oldham Athletic on a deal until the end of the season.
The 57-year-old teams up with Nicky Adams, his former skipper at Northampton, at Boundary Park after the Latics sacked Harry Kewell following their goalless draw against Southend United on Saturday.
Curle led Cobblers to promotion out of League Two last season and only left the club by mutual consent four weeks ago following a poor run of form. Oldham are 16th in League Two with 39 points from 32 games.
Curle is the eighth different manager at the club since Abdallah Lemsagam took over as owner in 2018.
