Fans can fly their flags for the Cobblers at Wembley play-off final - but be quick!

The Cobblers have announced that supporters will be allowed to display flags in the stands at Monday's Sky Bet League Two play-off final at Wembley.

But supporters wishing to do so will have to get the flag to the club at set times between now and 7pm on Friday night (June 26).

There are always a wide array of Town flags on show at games up and down the country, and there were several tied to the seats in the north stand at last Thursday's semi-final first leg against Cheltenham Town at the PTS Academy Stadium.

The green light has now been given for those flags and others to be on display at Wembley when Keith Curle's men take on Exeter City in front of the Sky Sports cameras at the national stadium

A club statement issued on Thursday afternoon: read: "The club have asked Wembley Stadium and they have agreed to allow supporters to display flags at the play off final with Exeter City on Monday evening.

"To drop off a flag, please visit the PTS Academy Stadium between 5pm and 7pm on Thursday or from 2pm to 7pm on Friday.

"Please follow instructions displayed on the club store shutters.

"Please note, any flags sent in are done so entirely at the owner's risk, the club and Wembley Stadium reserves the right to not display any flag submitted and we are unable to guarantee any particular location for these flags.

"Flags can then be collected again next week, details to be confirmed in due course.

"Thank you in advance to everyone dropping off a flag for your support!"
