How did the players perform at St James Park? Find out with our player ratings...
1. David Cornell
Fault doesn't lie at his door for any of the goals but Exeter only had three shots on target and all three found the back of his net, though he might have got a finger-tip to Sparkes' free-kick... 6
2. Charlie Goode
His second goal of the season was a far cleanerstrike that his first as he put the Cobblers into a deserved lead at the time. Brilliant tackle on Fisher kept things level but couldn't stop City from winning out... 7.5
3. Jordan Turnbull
Defended well for much of the game but the sheer number of balls delivered into Town's box eventually told and he was out-jumped by Fisher for the crucial third goal... 6.5
4. Scott Wharton
Had a running battle with various opposition players during the game, twice getting a clout to the head. Defended pretty solidly although outnumbered at times as Exeter exposed the space between centre-back and wing-back... 6.5
