Ex-Cobblers pair on the move to clubs in League One and League Two
Two former Cobblers have been on the move this week, one to the third tier and one to the fourth.
Ex-Sixfields loanee Matt Dibley-Dias has joined Newport County on loan from Fulham. The 22-year-old, Newport's 11th signing this summer, made 31 appearances across two seasons under Exiles boss Haydon Mullins for Fulham Under-21s. His time at Northampton was limited to just three appearances, and he’s since spent time with Braintree and Chesterfield.
Meanwhile, winger Mickel Miller, who played 11 times for Cobblers in 2021, has joined Bromley on a permanent basis after being released by Huddersfield.
Other former Northampton Town players to move clubs this summer include Ethan Wheatley (Lincoln City on loan from Man United), Sam Sherring (Rochdale), Charlie Goode (MK Dons), Shaun McWilliams (Cheltenham), Jake Evans (Cheltenham on loan from Leicester), Terry Taylor (Stevenage), Joe Powell (Salford) and Tony Springett (Leyton Orient).
